Eric is a proud U.S. Army veteran whose tour of duty included Vietnam, where he served as a Communication Center and Encryption Specialist. His military service reflects his dedication to excellence, discipline, and teamwork—qualities that have defined his professional and personal journey. With a rich background in communication, public relations, and community engagement, Eric is a seasoned leader who has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to empowering underserved communities, perfectly aligning with the mission of MSI Global Campus.
Eric’s career is marked by groundbreaking achievements and impactful leadership across industries. As the first African-American Transportation Supervisor for Trailways Bus, Inc., he led a team of over 330 individuals, managed multi-million-dollar budgets, and introduced process improvements that enhanced operational efficiency. His strong analytical and organizational skills are further evident in his role as Product Manager at Arrow Electronics, where he streamlined business operations, and his 23 years with Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools as a Textbook Coordinator, ensuring that educational resources were effectively managed to support student success.
Eric’s passion for community empowerment is woven into every aspect of his life. He co-founded and serves as President of The Big 4 Alumni Association of Forsyth County, Inc., fostering alumni engagement to uplift local communities. His leadership extends to The Big 4 Legacy Group, Inc. and the J.W. Paisley National Alumni Association, where he has championed initiatives that celebrate heritage and drive progress. As a board member of the Boston Thurmond Community Network and an active participant in the Coalition for Equity in Education, Eric is a tireless advocate for equitable opportunities, particularly in education and community development.
Eric’s unwavering dedication to strengthening underserved communities is further evidenced by his involvement in initiatives such as the Boston-Thurmond Community Engagement Roundtable. His exceptional communication skills, ability to develop impactful solutions, and talent for uniting diverse stakeholders make him a powerful voice for change and a trusted leader in his community.
