Founder & CEO
John's dual roles as CEO and Chief Strategy Officer at Martin Sloane International (MSI) and as CEO of MSI Global Campus, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) based in Charlotte, NC, highlight his exceptional versatility and leadership. MSI is highly regarded for delivering strategic consulting services and training to SMBs, nonprofits, and corporations, while MSI Global Campus is dedicated to providing entrepreneurial and workforce development training to underserved communities.
Currently, John is an Executive DBA doctoral candidate with a focus in International Business Strategy at the Swiss School of Business and Management, Geneva. He holds certifications in nonprofit development, strategy, and consulting and is also a certified facilitator for the Entrepreneur Learning Initiative. With over 30 years of experience crafting vision and strategy for Fortune 100 companies, his background in operational improvement strategies was notably developed during his executive tenure at IBM. John is a recognized expert in value creation, strategic development, data management, process optimization, and business and artificial intelligence, having helped clients save hundreds of millions of dollars through process innovation, enhanced automation, data-driven reporting, metrics development, and employee skill-building.
In his capacity as CEO, he has established a network of partnerships that enables small businesses and nonprofits to amplify their impact, mission, and revenue potential. His career is marked by an unwavering commitment to pioneering strategies and solutions that drive measurable results. He is also an accomplished author, lecturer, and speaker, sharing his expertise widely.
Over the past three decades, John has taught at both corporate and academic institutions, including IBM, Royal Insurance, Bank of America, Rutledge College, Catawba College, and The Boost Pad. Recently, he co-developed a framework for an entrepreneurial mindset program designed for clergy and laypersons in collaboration with the Osmond Center at Duke University. Beyond his professional pursuits, John is deeply committed to servant leadership, serving as Board Chair for multiple organizations and actively supporting community initiatives. His journey is a testament to his dedication to driving positive change and empowering others to realize their potential.
